Pokerspace and It's Poker Forums

One of the defining features of Pokerspace is its poker forums. Since the beginning of the poker community the forums have been an active and informative part of the site. With topics from poker strategy to off poker topics like sports and poker legislation.

Value of Pokerspace Poker Forums

The Pokerspace forums are full of tips for new players and of course constant discussion about strategy, the best poker room, and of course debating the ins and outs of the online poker lifestyle. Members come together to support one another and trade everyday poker tips. Often members will add in a nice little poll to gauge people's reactions.

What many people to is they write a blog post on their profile perhaps detailing a horrible bad beat they just went through and they'll post a little forum thread about what others in the community would have done. On the lead up to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) there has been a lot of discussion about what will happen come June 1st. For the most part people think that nothing will happen, but there's always more discussion going on.

Be sure to check out one of the best online poker forums out there and add your two cents.

Best Online Poker Freerolls

One of the main feature of Pokerspace's weekly tournament schedule is the number of great poker freerolls the site offers for members. Traditionally freerolls on poker rooms bring out hundreds if not thousands of players even if the the prize pool is as little as $100. With Pokerspace members-only freerolls players get smaller player fields with over $1K in freerolls to choose from every week.

Where to Find Pokerspace Freerolls

Pokerspace hosts a number of freerolls every week with varying prize pools from $100 all the way up to $500. There are even DeepStacks University scholarship freerolls every week with a cash value of nearly $100. Each Pokerspace tournament has its own special password to keep out non-Pokerspace members, but sometimes the passwords get leaked. You have to be a Pokerspace member to enter the majority of the freerolls are there are small PS Point buy-ins required to keep out password thieves.

As of right now Pokerspace has freerolls to Oddsmaker (an up and coming Merge room with good traffic), Power Poker (Strong Cake Network room), Doyles Room (Doyle Brunson's personal room), Walker Poker, and PokerStars. Excluding the PokerStars one the majority of Pokerspace's freerolls have less than a hundred people which equals great odds for anyone wanting to cash. Poker freerolls are great, and Pokerspace freerolls are even better.

If freerolls are quite your thing, but your looking to either establish a bankrolls on a new room or you're new to online poker Pokerspace also has a variety of free bankrolls too.

Winner Poker and Winner Casino Come to Pokerspace

Pokerspace just released two major additions to its already stellar line up of deals. Winner Poker and Winner Casino can now be found on Pokerspace to meet all of your poker and casino needs. The Winner name is developing a very positive backing and they have certainly produced two very nice sites.

Earning PS Points from Winner Poker

The question every want to know is how to earn PS Points from playing at Winner Poker. It's actually quite easy. All you have to do is download through Pokerspace, deposit $20 and you will earn a cool 3000 PS Points. That's the equivalent of earning $30 extra dollars just for depositing $20! This of course is on top of any loyalty program Winner Poker hosts themselves. There are even some instances of Winner giving away free money with every deposit. Winner Poker is also hosted on the iPoker Network which has been battling with PartyPoker for the better part of a year for the title of 3rd largest poker room/network in the world. With Winner Poker as a new and vibrant addition, it is possible for iPoker to start the dominance of that 3rd spot.

Massive Jackpots from Winner Casino

In between some hard grinding sessions on the virtual felt at Winner Poker it might be a good idea to just switch gears for an hour and try out Winner Casino. Whether you are into blackjack, roulette, or craps, there is a full list of casino games to take in. Not to mention the huge progressive slot jackpots that routinely total over $2 million. Winner Casino has some amazing deposit and refer a friend promotions to say thank you for their players for coming back. As an added bonus, Winner Casino, unlike Winner Poker, is open to American players. Unfortunately the iPoker network does not allow U.S. players until the U.S. government figures out how to regulate and tax online poker.

There's a lot of upside and no downside to trying out Winner Poker or Winner Casino. They both give back to their, especially Winner Poker with the PS Points deal, and they are developing a name to remember. So check them out today.

New "World Team Poker" Event and Pokerspace's Crew Cup

Special poker tournaments with great bonuses can be hard to find, but who knew that poker could become a team event? Well Pokerspace certainly did when they created the Crew Cup, and now the poker powers that be have just created their own team event called the World Team Poker Tournament that pits country against country and team and team. Each country is led by some a legendary poker pro such as Phil Hellmuth (USA), Johnny Chan (China), and Tony G (Australia).

Poker as a Team Sport Only at Pokerspace

Pokerspace is the only online poker community who has create a team event for poker and has given away tens of thousands of dollars over the past couple of years just for the Crew Cup. Even this year Pokerspace gave away a free trip to Las Vegas during the WSOP for the winning crew plus entry into the Online Forum Challenge tournament at the Golden Nugget, which also happens to be the location of the World Team Poker Tournament this week. Coincidence?

The Crew Cup 4 contest might have just ended with the winning crew, M&M's, taking the crown as Crew Cup Champions, but there will be another one started soon to keep players together in their crews and continuing on with one of the most unique and rewarding poker competitions ever created.

Be sure to sign up and join a crew for the next Pokerspace Crew Cup. You never know when the next one will be announced.

UltimateBet and Absolute Poker Plug All Their Security Holes

Over the past two weeks the CEREUS Poker Network has been faced with a series of challenging security problems that came to light after the website PokerTableRatings set up a test account on UltimateBet and began trying to hack it. In no time at all, and with no special equipment, the hackers were able to get into the test account in order to reveal the player's hole cards. On Sunday, however, CEREUS announced that it had solved all the security problems and that a team of hackers and third party auditors approved that the network was indeed secure.

What the Security Problems Meant For Players

It seems like there was no issue with potential hackers clawing their way into the players account information such as banking info or personal details, just players hole cards. While this is a glaring lapse in security the network found the problem and with a team of hackers and software engineers solved the problem with a secure OpenSSL encryption that is at industry standard.

Once the story broke there was an immediate dip in player traffic that was felt this past weekend during their weekly $200,000 GTD game where only 903 players showed up, equaling a $20,000 shortfall for UltimateBet. UB and AP players and prospective players should rest easy this coming week with all of the new security measures and with the player migration back to the CEREUS Network.

I know I feel confident in the CEREUS Network. The thing to remember about this latest lapse in online poker security is that it could have been worse and completely avoided if every player takes proper precautions like set up your own secure internet connection. With security issues at UltimateBet and Absolute Poker now finalized and resolved new players should feel confident in playing there and especially if you take advantage of a Pokerspace free bankroll to one of them.

Free Poker School From Pokerspace

Finding online poker schools is easy, but finding poker schools that are free is a different story. Luckily, Pokerspace has players covered with a multi-level poker school that will test even the most seasoned poker shark to sharpen their skills.

Poker Lessons from Pokerspace's Online Poker School

Pokerspace has a poker school that is complete with a series of in depth strategy lessons and tests as well. While it's easy to find random strategy articles all over the web, these lessons are grouped by skill level and category such as Bankroll Management, Calculating Pot Odds, and even Bluffing Strategy. And all of it is free. Yeah, free.

These lessons go from Basic poker knowledge all the way to Expert level. The lessons become more in detailed and useful as you pass from level to level. The calculating pot odds tutorials were very helpful in my own play as pot odds is very important to becoming a strong, well rounded player. Any player of any level will find value in these lessons.

Poker Quizzes and Tests From Pokerspace

Probably the best part about the Pokerspace poker school is the fact that you actually get to take tests to see how you have done and whether you are retaining the information. If you pass all of the quizzes and tests you will even gain a Pokerspace accolade that will go on your Pokerspace profile, setting you apart from others in the community. While the poker tests might seem easy the first couple of skill levels, trust me they get harder. No matter how broad you might think your poker knowledge is there is always something new to learn and the Pokerspace poker school tests will prove that.

Taking the Next Step in Your Poker Education

The only downside to the Pokerspace poker school is that it ends. It goes over the basics and to the advanced levels, but eventually you will get to that last test and want to learn more. Pokerspace also has a solution to that: DeepStacks University (DSU). DSU is the most innovative online poker school in the world with interactive video lessons that is based on the same technology that the U.S. military uses to train its troops. The best part is Pokerspace has partnered with DSU and that means Pokerspace members get a solid discount that can't be found anywhere else.

To put it simply, if you want a poker education Pokerspace should be the first place you go to. There's just so much to learn about poker, why not do it for free?

Pokerspace Offering Free Poker Cash

In the past Pokerspace has attracted tens of thousands of members based upon their popular free bankrolls. Back in November of 2009 Pokerspace stopped offer free bankrolls to Walker Poker and began planning an even bigger offering: 3 free bankrolls to 3 major poker rooms.

Free Bankrolls to UltimateBet, Absolute Poker, and Titan Poker

Pokerspace is now offerings three great free bankrolls that are easy to get and easy to profit from. Pokerspace will start members out with $25 on UltimateBet, Absolute Poker, or Titan Poker and off they go. All people have to do is become a Pokerspace member, download the room software, submit your personal information (NO banking information required), and wait for the money to be approved and deposited into your poker room account.

U.S. Players are more than welcome as getting a free bankroll from Pokerspace is an easy way to deposit on UltimateBet and Absolute Poker without all the hassle the UIGEA has caused. For those not in the U.S. Titan Poker has stayed one of the largest online poker rooms in the world. Week after week Titan Poker is battling it out with Party Poker for the 3rd biggest room in the world.

Unlike other free bankroll sites, Pokerspace will continue to reward its members with PS Points after they rake a certain number of hands. It's not an insane number of hands, but just enough to ensure that members don't just take the cash and run. This means that the free rewards only stop when you stop playing. It's hard not to love these deals. You get free poker money at Pokerspace, added PS Points as you play that can be used to enter exclusive tournaments or even purchase cash poker room add-ons, and you get the added perk of being a Pokerspace member which opens you up to thousands of dollars in freerolls every month, plus thousands of dollars in money added to exclusive buy-in tournaments.

So go out and snag a free bankroll from Pokerspace. The perks never stop as a Pokerspace member, and there's no better way to become a member than getting some free cash!
